Estimated versus actual costs

PIRATES, plain and simple!! We received a telephone estimate for an all inclusive move of $3,500. We understood that there might be some sort of difference in actual costs and budgeted $4,500 for the move! On the day of the move, when the truck arrived we were astonished to be told the actual cost would be $5,725! The original estimate was based on 1020cu.ft of space. We even donated and/or disposed of many larger items that would have gone on the truck Even with all these originally included items being removed, the total space necessary, according to the crew foreman, was in the range of 1500cu.ft. We were forced to leave MANY items behind and/or place items in our already over weight travel trailer! The management of B52 never once showed any concern for our dilemma! They went so far as to DEMAND cash payment of the balance at delivery! After four days on the road to reach our new home, we had to scramble to arrange for the necessary funds before the management agreed to deliver our property. Not only do we NOT recommend B52 Van Lines for your moving needs, we STRONGLY recommend you avoid these PIRATES at all costs!!!!
