I just moved from Miami Beach , FL to Atlantic City, NJ with Beacon Movers. They were one of the most professional and honest guys I spoke to out of the bunch that called me. I got about 10 different quotes from all type of companies when I went to the web to find a moving crew to move my stuff out on July 19th... I knew with all the calls and emails I had to really take my time here and make the best dicision that I could with the time I had. I spoke to a guy named Joe with Beacon , said he was a sales manager there, he was very helpful with all the info he was giving me and told me straight out that the price he was giving was an estimate based on the items I told him over the phone. Joe told me that they would come out on July 20th with a crew of 3 guys and a 26' Box Truck , and they would go thru the house with me at that time again to go over the inventory to match everything item for item piece for piece and if there was anything different from the two inventories I would have a choice to either ship it or leave it. I agreed to it and sure enough come July 20th a crew came in with box truck went over all my stuff with me told me exactly how much it would cost me before even touching a single item. The price i was quoted by Joe was $1299 for 465 CFT , the guys came out told me I has about 520 CFT and some packing to be done gave me a final total $1650. I figured $350 wasn't too bad for the extra space and packing I needed. I went ahead agreed they really took care of my items when loading them on the truck made sure everything was wrapped up and secure on the truck. When they left they gave me a ETA for delivery told me they would delivery in about 4 days, I got a call Wednesday they would be delivering my items Thursday AM. Actual delivery time took 5 days which was fine. They showed up yesterday delivered all my items in to my house and even setup my bed. These guys were great at pickup and delivery couldn't be happier with my move. I'll tell all my people about these guys and recommend them to anyone who needs a mover out there who knows his stuff. I attached a copy of the original binding estimate I got.
