In preparing to move, we did some research and decided to use Bestway. We had a 3 week gap between our home closings; Bestway had a warehouse to store our items during that time.
On the day when they were to pack the truck, they arrived 3 hours late. We had packed the majority of our items ourselves but left the nicer wall art and bigger items for them because we thought they would have better packing supplies to do so. They did a good job of packing many of these larger items and artwork but did a poor job on some.
We were told that on the final moving day they would be leaving the warehouse at about 9 AM. I tried to confirm this time 2 days in advance but received no response. When we finally got a response on the moving day, we were told they were packing the truck that morning and would not leave the warehouse until 11 or later. They finally showed up mid afternoon. They had lost our items list and did not have it available to guide them in packing the truck that morning. We provided them our copy of the items list when they arrived at the destination, which was promptly set on the counter and never utilized in the unloading process. We discovered that they had packed 2 irreplaceable foreign paintings in a haphazard manner; one of said paintings was packed at the bottom of a wardrobe box filled with curtain rods. One lampshade was similarly packed. They scratched our side table.
After unpacking all boxes, we have concluded that at least one box is missing and are left to wonder how many others might be missing based on the fact that the packing list created at our old house was not utilized in any way for the re-loading at the warehouse and the unpacking. They are affordable, but extremely unprofessional by our estimation.
