Thoroughly Disgusted

Submitted this review about Boerman Moving and Storage

You would think that when your name is over the door of your business that you would have the self-respect to provide your customers with the level of service that you would expect for yourself. Moving is stressful enough. Moving to a new state, to a new job and a new house just before the holiday season is something only the military tends to experience. The first part of the move went relatively smoothly in large part because my wife and I packed almost everything ourselves. The second part is where the true nature of this company became apparent. They were late. The moving crew consisted of a driver in his late 40s-early 50s, his 16-year-old son and his 13-year-old son. Calls to Dan Boerman himself brought no satisfaction. Apparently there was no one else available to unload the truck. After the 16-year-old injured himself (twice) I took it upon myself to help unload the truck. Storage cabinets were broken and missing casters, as well as my desk chair which I treasure. They forgot to bring a hand truck that I own. I paid the driver. And for the next 4 days, I paid the price for the labor I contributed. Calls to Mr Boerman go unanswered and the one time I did speak to him about making things right, he asked me to wait until he got back from a business trip. I am still waiting. Apparently, since he already has my money, our business is concluded. I have given him every opportunity to respond and make things right. The experience has left me thoroughly disgusted.
