The most monstrously un-professional, incompetent, and over-priced service in the U.S. Budget Van Lines started by giving me a pick up window they could mot meet. Arriving late, two 60-foot moving trucks arrived-overwhelming the parking lot. They were essentially picking up furniture for a studio apartment and both trucks were already filled to 95 percent capacity. They could only accommodate 98 percent of my furniture. I had to give away the rest. They denied my certified check because the pick up company was a carrier or subcontractor for Budget, and the carrier's name had to appear on the check. All was made more difficult by the lack of English the mover spoke. I reached out to the mover's supervisor but he/she could mot be reached.
5 days after relocating to another state, I had to contact both the broker- Budget and the carrier- Certified to get my furniture delivered. They both were difficult to reach and multiple messages were left. 15 days later the carrier is not only late an additional hour outside the given delivery window but had only one person to unload and deliver
My items. 12 of my boxes were crushed, my bed and sofa no longer have legs, my floor lamp had broken on/off
Knob, and 2 boxes are missing and/or stolen. The one man delivery team had no claim forms.
I'm still trying to redress my moving issues with Budget van lines/Certified van lines lines.
