We were moving from Michigan to North Carolina. We had to be in NC in three days to close on our new house. The moving company selected by Budget left us hanging. Nobody ever contacted us. We called the movers and basically he said "there was a change in plans"!!! We were horrified. Our life was boxed up with no one to move us. We constantly called Budget with no updates. They tried to find a different mover, but could not. The worst part was the lack of caring with Budget. We had to initiate each call. At one point it was late in the afternoon and the customer support rep said she was leaving for the day, and there were no updates. We were on our own after already paying Budget. Ultimately, we got lucky and found a moving company on our own and had to pay top dollar for an emergency move. We asked Budget to pay us the difference in cost, for the emergency move....but, no chance. Any reputable company would at least provide the difference in cost after breaching the contract. They did refund our money. You may think you are saving money with Budget, but you will get contracted to a second rate moving company, and when there are problems, you will be dealing with uncaring customer support. DO NOT USE BUDGET it is not worth it.
