I went with this company because their customer service rep seemed extremeley knowledgable, polite and answered all of my questions and concerns. On top of that they gave me the lowest quote from the 5 companies I inquired with. That being said, the day of my move, they called me an hour and fifteen minutes prior to their appointed pick up time and said they'd be there in 5 minutes, and I told them that they needed to come back in an hour for the CONFIRMED TIME because I wasn't ready. When they arrived back at the appropriate time, the foreman spoke with me to go over the process and bill. Turns out, I was being charged for packing tap, $135.00, $100.00 to move my china cabinet, and $75.00 to move my flat screen on top of my normal charges~!. I disputed this with the foreman and we agreed on a flat rate of $100.00. When I first spoke with customer service prior to booking the rep told me that IF I NEEDED to buy tap, or boxes for myself that day that I could purchase it from them, not that it was for the standard move!. Also, when I spoke with the rep the first time, I SPECIFICALlY asked if they would charge me additionally for my GLASS china cabinet, and I was told NO, that this was standard. Also, when dicussing payment, I was told that I could pay cash or check. I spoke to customer service the night before and I asked again, "Can I pay with a credit card?" and was simply told yes. To my surpirse when discussing payment prior to the start, I was informed a 3% fee will be assessed for credit card payment!!! Also- I was ensured no smoking or cell phone use would be present. One of the three movers smoked 3 cigarrettes in my presents taking 30 minutes out of my move time to give himself a break. Towards the end of the move, my kitchen table and entertainment system were not put together yet, and I noticed that 2 of the 3 movers where MIA. I asked the foreman who was putting my bed together with my husband where the other two were, and he informed me that they were FOLDING THE BLANKETS and that folding the blankets is part of the time. WHAT???? Folding blankets is more important that putting my furniture back together? At that momment my husband ended the move and we finished the furniture ourselves. Not before I had to settled the bill. The foreman authorized my credit card forgetting to deduct my $50.00 deposit. He called the company soon after and informed me that the $50.00 would be returned withthin a few days. I checked my account and had to call to confirm the transaction. It was done soon after my call...great. That showed up on my bill. However, here I am 2 weeks later and the $696.00 that was charged with the 3% fee is STILL PENDING with my CC company! When called, the CC company told me to call Certified Relocations because they never released the charge. So...I called this morning, and when I FINALLY got through to someone I was told, "Oh, thank you for calling, I guess we never batched that CC machine...thank you for calling"....Are you kidding me>??? If I never called the charge would have been returned and you would have been after me for payment! When I asked how will you confirm if this was the issue, he said, "oh call your cc company or I can call you on Sunday", I told him no. When you batch a CC machine you get instant gratification and can see ever charge posted through that machine. He replies, oh well I can call you then. Never asked me my name, account number nothing. I was like do you have my info,,,,yes.....do you have my number...."uh yea...the one you called me on.." ----I am SO So SO SO So done with this company. Still waiting a call and confirmation of my charge. Estimate was $420.01 actual cost: $696.32
