Let me first begin by saying every person I spoke to at this company told me their name was Jessica. Because this is also my name, I suspect this is a tactic used to avoid identification of employees in the event of a complaint. On December 8, 2014 I confirmed my reservation with Jessica at Chad moving. I paid the deposit, gave a inventory list of items, and set a pickup date of December 26. On December 24, Jessica called me and told me the movers would be at my house at 6am, December 26. At 8 am they were not there and had not contacted me. It took until 10:30 to contact anyone at Chad Moving. At this time the operator, Jessica, told me she would need to follow up with her supervisor. Jessica called me back at 12:00 noon and told me the movers were on their way. The truck had broken down but they would be there shortly. At 6:00 pm when no movers had showed up, I called Chad Moving again. This time another operator, named Jessica, told me they had underquoted me and would not be coming to move my belongings. However, if I was willing to pay a significantly higher amount, they could have movers there in 3 days. I refused and requested a refund of my deposit. This Jessica refused to issue my refund, first stating she didn't have my credit card information, then saying because I did not give the required 48 hour notice, they were not obligated to refund my deposit.
