Stay far away from this company. The worst moving experience I've ever had! We (my wife and I) were moving from Philly to NYC and were given a quote on 2500 pounds of things. Now we had recently used another moving company (much better!) to move from Seattle to Philly and had a very good idea about the weight of our stuff. It was around 2100 pounds. We told both Guy and Yuval on the phone that we just moved and knew the weight of our things. These guys were all friendly at that point...wanted our business. So we picked them. The movers arrived on time the day of our move. We were taken aback by their disorganization...quickly putting boxes in the truck (the other company had noted down line by line our boxes and was very organized). As this is happening we hear a crash from one of the rooms. I run over there and see that my brand new study table is lying in pieces. The guy tries to lie but it is clear he broke it. I nicely ask him how we should go about the reimbursement for the item (now or later). He starts arguing and storms out. Anyways, we move and and they get all our stuff in the truck. The driver then asks me if I want to follow him to the weighing station...I decline saying that we have a very good idea of the weight. He says he will call me when the weighing is done. I say fine. 5 hours later I still haven't received a call. I'm not too worried at that point...I've asked them to put our stuff in storage (since we were still looking for an apt in NYC). I keep calling all day and into the night. No response. I leave messages all through the weekend. No response. ONE WEEK LATER I finally catch Yuval. He doesn't tell me why they haven't returned my calls. I ask him how much was our weight. He tells me over 4000 pounds!!! I'm so shocked I let out a chuckle. I ask him what the gross weight of the truck was with our stuff. He says around 18,000. That sounds right to me. I then confront him with the weight ticket of the empty truck which was given to me in the morning---approx. 16,000 (which would make our weight around the expected amount). He says "NO, NO, NO. We had to change the truck. The new truck weight around 12,300 when empty." At this point I tell him point blank that can't be---we have all the paperwork from our last move to prove the weight. He goes ballistic and SLAMS THE PHONE ON ME. He repeatedly shouts that we're not moving you all the way to NYC for nothing. After an hour arguing with him I give up and decide to cut my losses short---he had our stuff. If this is not enough for you prospective movers---let me give you more evidence. When we finally decided on an apt in NYC we also decided to go to the weigh station and see the re-weigh. Of course you guessed by now...we drove to the station the morning of the move and Yuval came up with an excuse...the truck is still being loaded. We knew he is not going to let us see the weighing. We decide to meet the truck at our apartment. They come to the apt, starting moving our stuff up. Then the head driver comes to me with the paperwork and says, the weight of your stuff is near 6000 POUNDS!!! I was flabbergasted. I ask him how that is possible with your boss said the weighing was 4000 pounds when you loaded it. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I said I want to talk to the boss. Got him on the phone and obviously he wasn't in sync with the driver w.r.t the weight. Anyways, cutting this story short----bottom line: these guys are CROOKS. Don't be tempted by their low quotes. They will get it all back from you!! I am going to go do my research next time (didn't read these reviews) and also my rights and options if I am ever in that situation again. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info.
