I hired Continental Relocation on 5/26/10. Gisela was great to speak to and easy to get a hold of. Upon pick up I should have gone running. After the movers showed me the area that Gisela had estimated all of my belongings would fit into I knew something was wrong, but I was in a pinch and only had one day left to be out of my house. I allowed the movers to continue the packing only to have my move go from $750 to $3,625. After debating with the moving company that this price was ridiculous, the price went from $3625 to $2,200 and then to a final cost of $1,500. Despite our better judgment we went with the company paying them $750 upfront with the remainder due at delivery. The movers were due to arrive in FL on 6/13. The called wanting to deliver earlier and when I called to schedule an earlier deliver I was put on hold repeatedly for times going over 30 minutes. Max, who has been referred to as the delivery specialist, manager and owner at times is never accessible. The company finally showed up on the 20th of June and collected the $750 balance. I requested to see that my items were in the truck but the driver refused saying all monies had to be paid before he could allow me to see anything. As the driver unloaded my items I ran through them making sure my items were there only to find out that they were missing more than a few large ticket items. The company again refused to answer calls, and at the times that I got a recording that they were also operating under Delta Movers. Secretaries repeatedly transferred messages to me giving me driver’s numbers who did not answer the phones or messages from Max saying that it was out of his hands and now my belongings were with the drivers. After contacting a move rescue company I finally received a delivery on 7/6 that only contained two mattresses and a piece of bed frame. I am still missing items and the company to date still refuses to take my calls as do the drivers. They have violated my contract but have received payment in full. My items were damaged, dirty or just plain broken. If i ever have to move again I will pack it and haul it myself. THIS COMPANY AND ITS WORKERS ARE A SCAM!!
