DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is the most dishonest and difficult company of any kind that I have ever dealt with. First off, they illegally solicited my business. As of July 25, 2011 they are operating WITHOUT a DOT License. So anyone who reads this and had business with them after this, please contact the DOT and file your complaint. They should not be operating. They had another company show up to do my move and those movers told me they were in fact Eco Van Lines. Lie#1 The movers were also very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable, asking my questions like if I was Jewish, how much I paid in rent per month, and how much I would be paying for the school I was to be attending. My salesperson Abby had promised me 2-5 days on my quote which is why I picked eco van lines. The movers gave me paperwork saying 30 days AFTER they had already loaded my items into the truck. They then charged me an additional 800$. Lie#2 and Lie #3 After not receiving my items at the date Abby had promised I was told my items were being loaded onto a van 2x on 2 separate days. These were both lies. Magically, their van had broken down but I had to contact them to find this out. Lie #I stopped keeping track. They were just lying and delaying my shipment until they could fill up a truck completely and thus make more money. They could care less about me. After a few weeks into my move, I contacted the DOT and found out they did not have a license to be operating. And apparently Eco Van Lines functioned as a broker and subcontracted me to United Moving Services--the guys that showed up to pick up my items. They cannot legally do this because they are not licensed as a broker and are not licensed to do any moving business. I asked Eco Van Lines about this and they said they only lost their international license and that they merged with United Van Lines. I called the DOT and found out both of these are false. They lost their interstate moving company and both of these companies are separate entities. Simply put again, THEY ARE OPERATING ILLEGALLY. This company still has my items and continues to lie to me about delivery dates, etc. This is all fraud. They never return calls. It takes me 5 calls and speaking to multiple people to find out the status of my items. I have mentioned to them I would contact the BBB--apparently the BBB has said Eco Van Lines doesn't respond to them either, the list the business as Out of Business--and even the FBI. They could care less.
