Hidden charges and refund issues

When the truck arrived to load up our goods everything had already been professionly packed (by another company). When they were finished loading the truck we were told they used additional packing supplies totalng $1902.
I asked for a guranteed delivery date and was told they could and would guarantee delivery for an additional fee ($1000). I asked what happened if they didn't make the guaranteed date and was told repeatedly "that will never happen, we'll meet that date, don't even worry about." But, I was never given a real answer. When the delivery wasn't made on the date guaranteed, I was told the read the small print (that you don't get until after you've signed the move contract and paid at least 50% of the total cost.) The small print says they only owe you $30/day. Funny no one volunteered that information, prior to signing the contract.
Once everything had been delivered we found a red mystery liquid on many of our boxes (and on the items inside the boxes.) We also found that we were missing a couple of boxes XXXthese just happened to be the boxes containing electronic components......
