Wow where do I start. When I called First call movers I did not know they where brokers not movers. When I talked to them on the phone. I told them I had a 10x10x8 storage unit full of my things. So to get a a cost of the mover should have been real easy 10x10x8 = 850 cubic feet if the storage unit was filled with water. So this make for a great way to estimate the space my item will take up. And since it's not filled with water it's filled with item there are caps with empty space. On the phone I told them that there was no access for a big truck so I would need shuttle truck on delivery in MT. I also hired them to move a car for me as well while I was on the phone with them but we will get to that later. Long story short there was no way it would take up anymore space then that. Based on that info I got a cost of 4,600 dollars for the move from Bakersfield,CA to Sidney,MT. I made a deposit of 3,000 dollars. " BIG MISTAKE NEVER PUT UP MONEY BEFORE HAND THAT'S HOW THEY TRAP YOU" I made the trip down there to meet movers the day of the move. They where on time and showed up with a rental truck. They where from a company called "Green moving" out of L.A 3 men that could not speak English very good. I opened the storage unit up. They started to look around. The one man that could speak the best English " which was hard to understand" started to tell me that the price was going to be more. He said because there more cubic feet then what they said. I ask how is that possible when they estimated the unit as being filled with water. He could not tell me how are why. All he could is the price was going to be more. I tried to call first call mover but they must have caller id they did not answer my 15 phone calls. So I told the man to make a phone call and find out why it was going to cost more. He made a call and then told me they didn't charge me for interstate fees and fuel sure charges. And if I need a shuttle service at the delivery point that would be extra as well. At this point it getting to hard to talk to this guy and I need to get this stuff moved "I believe that this is what the company does is get you to a point where you just do anything to get this done". So I ask how much to get this going he said 5,700 for everything for the move and the shuttle truck. At this point I said let's do it. I need this stuff moved ASAP. They started loading the already packed items into the truck without care. Broke items and stacked it in the truck like a 5 year old did it. They then left with my stuff. I waited for the transport truck to come and pick up the car I was having shipped to MT as well. They never showed. 3/18/2013 Called first call movers They answered this time guess they knew my items have already been pick up. Ask if they where coming to pick up the car was told they where late and would be there on 3/23/2013. I told them I had to leave to head back to MT " BUT THEY ALREADY KNEW THAT CAUSE MY STUFF WAS HEADING THAT WAY". and I already put a 500 dollar deposit down they knew that as well. I told them I would leave the key with the storage manger so when they come and get it. As of this date 4/3/2013. I have not heard from anyone about the car and the manger at the storage placed says the car was never picked up. Getting back to my Items I had moved. I get a call on 3/27/2013 from the driver asking me if I knew anyone to help him unload my stuff. Then I ask if he was getting a shuttle because I don't have access for a big truck. He said no . I said I have it in writing that I paid for a shuttle. He quickly said he had to get off the phone. The next day I see a big truck 18 wheeler parked down the road. I drive down there and ask what he was looking for. he ask for me I told him I am the person he is looking for. It was just the driver. I ask where his help was and where the shuttle was. He said I cant find anyone to help and I cant find a smaller truck. "Again this is what the company wants". feeling helpless and just wanting my stuff. I get my son and we long carry everything off the truck to the house. Of course they wanted all there money up front. Most of my stuff was broke and looks like it was ran over by the truck. I got items that wasn't even mine and I lost items as well. Please look this company up and also First Call Movers and Transport of Florida, LLC. This is the same company they just add the Transport of Florida, LLC. at the end. I am sure they did this because of all the complaints they got. I am seeking legal advise and filling complaints with the BBB. I hope this review helps you don't make the same mistake I did. And never put down a deposit.
