I sincerely support and recommend First Van Lines to all : Here is a little explanation to this : We moved with these guys last month. I was very impressed with the professionalism and communication from the very start, especially because my situation was a bit complex (container arriving to oakland port where entire container had to be delivered to a "staging area" where stuff could be sorted to go into the new apartment and other stuff to go into storage). I was particularly concerned with the timing since i knew they would be charging by the hour. Also, I've moved on average once every two years for the last 12 years and out of those experiences I've had with moving companies, more than half have been AWFUL. So I was already a little on the defensive when first dealing with these guys (even with all of the good reviews on Yelp). However, I was extremely happy with the job they did. EVERYTHING went smoothly (from the unloading of the container to the sorting to loading into storage and then finally to my apartment). As an added bonus, they were finished about 2 hours earlier than they had estimated! We would definitely be happy to work with these guys again on our next move.
