I've heard many nightmares that people have had doing a move with a moving company. I wasn't so happy to be needing a moving company to begin with. I did my research, compared prices between many companies, and at first was a little scared even booking with great american. They sounded very professional on the phone and gave me many inside tips on what to look out for when comparing prices with other companies. They were very persistent in calling me and following up with me, which at first I found a bit annoying but then realized that they are just trying to help me get what they thought was the best deal. I spoke to them on several occasions, changing the inventory list, and even bargaining the price so it would stay within our budget. They gave me a quote for $4,500 after estimating my weight at 9454 lbs. When they came along to do the move it ended up weighing less and I paid a total of $4230. I was very happy with their professionalism, response time, delicacy in moving my items, and just plain being polite. I was at ease and that was the most important part for me. Would definitely recommend their service.
