As a military family, we have moved many times and have always had a pleasant experience. Except this time when we used Great American Van Lines, Inc. They low-balled the quote and then charged almost $1,000 more, they were constantly rude and unprofessional, delivered broken items, called to schedule a time for pick up at a storage unit then showed up two hours early and were rude when no one was there to open the unit, promised delivery on one day, but showed up two days later, stole two cell phones from us, were impatient when we wanted to check the inventory, demanded half of the cost prior to delivery because we called to ask why the final cost was $1000 more than the estimate, yelled at us when they refused to answer our question and grossly over charged. They estimated costs based on cubic foot, but actually charged by number of items shipped. They counted things like a walking stick or yard tool as one item or cubic foot. I will never use this company again due to the entirely stressful and unpleasant experience.
