After I decided to move, I searched around online for professional movers, and entered my info into a website that offers free moving quotes. Little did I know I'd be contacted by a whole lot of moving companies the next day. A lot of the companies were contractors, companies that wanted to sell my move to another company, and take a cut for themselves, even though many of them neglected to tell me that, but I found out after researching their company name online. Tom from great american van lines called me to give me a quote, and while we were on the phone talking about the items I was moving I did a quick search on them online, and was really impressed. They were highly rated, and were an actual moving company, so I knew they'd be handling the move themselves. So since the price was pretty good, I booked my move with them. About 3 weeks later was my move day, and after the dispatcher called me the day before to ask me what time would be best for me (which I thought was really considerate) I was all set for moving. The next day the movers showed up reasonably on time, with all their own gear and got straight to work. I checked out their truck, since that's where all my things would be sitting for a few days, and sure enough, it was really clean. I watched the guys pretty carefully, just to make sure nothing got bumped or damaged, but these guys were really good, and pretty easygoing at that. Everything got moved without a problem or damage, something I'm really thankful for, and they unloaded everything nicely too. I ended up giving them a really nice tip for such a job well done. I'm so appreciative, I've been recommending these guys to everyone!
