Green Van Lines

I was told Green Van lines estimates are made from an article list and only if the list changes will the price change. I was told only Green Van Lines movers would handle my cross country move. I was told there would not be an additional charge for a shuttle at the delivery end. My items list was less than what i had estimated. I over-estimated my list so I would not be surprised by a higher cost. Somehow my smaller boxes and leaving behind items incurred an additional cost of about $500. Maybe i should have added some empty boxes to match the list. I was also told by Shayna that I would not be charged an additional shuttle fee in CO. I was then charged a fee and called a liar by Shayna who claims she would never have said that. I had asked several times because I know it's standard policy to charge for shuttles and I was repeatedly assured this wouldn't happen. Green Van lines movers didn't load or unload my move. I have no evidence my things were ever even on a Green Van Lines truck. I will say the movers on the pick-up end acted professionaly and seemed to treat my things with care. However, they plowed thru the gate at the off-site storage facility and broke that (their problem not mine). However the movers on the delivery side man-handled my things and did not take care to not damage my new apartment, scraping the floor and walls. I was left with a kitchen table with no legs, missing items, a damaged bookcase and other missing items of sentimental value I can never replace for over $600 more than the estimate. In short I would never use Green Van Lines for a cross country move
