I received several quotes knowing that most companies would low ball me so this company was somewhere in the middle. I booked during the slow season so I could lock in a .50 rate per lb. I spoke with Maya Tweg and asked numerous questions. Maya Tweg is a nice enough girl but not very honest. First thing to note, This company uses subcontractors - how do I know this well for one thing there DOT did not match the truck that came to my house. Second the driver Josh told me and then when I mentioned it, he later said, "No, they were not subcontracted." Second thing to note, this company is not associated with AMSA you can verify that online however they have that printed on their moving estimate.
About the move: They rescheduled the move date the day before at about 5 pm, and said they would be there the next day at 9-11 they were unreachable because it was Saturday and they finally called at 2 pm and said that I was the 3rd move and they could not make it until 6 pm, they arrived at 7 pm! I meet Josh who is dressed as if he is ready to hit the clubs reeking of cologne that lingered in my hallways 2 hours later! He had another guy who basically was there to do all the work. Ok, so Josh looks at my quote and says Infinity screwed up, my quote is wrong (he had my estimate with him if it was a mistake, why wasn't I notified prior?) and they would be now charging me either 6,000 to move or I could use 600 cu ft at double the price of my original quote, which technically should have allowed me 800 cu ft. He then said that I can only move my boxes with that price and that I would have to leave ALL my furniture!! May Tweg also LIED and said that they have a scale and your items are weighed THEY ARE NOT WEIGHED AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A SCALE! They go by cubic feet only.
Josh then says he hates doing jobs with Infinity because they always low ball their customers and he referred me to 2 men with a truck as an alternative. I sent Josh and his truck on his merry way. The next day I received a call from a skeezy guy who says he has a truck for me meanwhile it was 5 pm and I already made alternative arrangments. LIKE I WOULD TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH MY BELONGINGS!
I called Infinity on Monday to get my deposit, and the guy who answered the phone told me all companies low ball and hung up the phone. I called again on that Friday and asked for Maya Tweg, the same guy says, Oh she is away from her desk. I call back a few hours later, he says she is on vacation and won't be back until Monday.
MOVING IS STRESSFUL ENOUGH, YOU DO NOT NEED A COMPANY LIKE THIS WHO WILL MAKE YOUR MOVE A NIGHTMARE. THIS COMPANY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. AVOID ANY OF THESE COMPANIES IN THE HOLLYWOOD/FT. LAUDERDALE AREA BECAUSE THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME.
