WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN, RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THE MOVING COMPANY FROM HELL............... INFINITY VAN LINES……………….. LOCATED OUT OF HOLLYWOOD,Fl PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, TAKE HEED TO THIS WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS MOVING COMPANY IS HORRIBLE; THEY USE THE AMSA LOGO (AMERICAN MOVING AND STORAGE ASSOCIATION) AND ARE NOT MEMBERS.As of April 23 of 2009. I know because I called. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SORRY, 1. We were given a GREAT RATE FOR QUOTE OF $2,164.89. THIS WAS FOR 5,555Lbs (793CF) WITH $194.00 DOWN. With a DISCOUNT OF $217.00. MAYA WAS NICE AND A REAL GOOD CON ARTIST WHEN GETTING YOU ON THE HOOK. Her boss should give her a raise! LMAO! 2. Here is what happened, AFTER ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS WERE LOADED on the truck on the date of March 26th 09 THEY WENT UP IN PRICE TO $3426.15. A large DIFFERENCE OF $1261.26. I have now found out that this is a SCAM and it is …….ILLEGAL …….TO GO UP IN THE QUOTE …..AFTER…… THE TRUCK IS LOADED. At the time I had no clue. Here is the way to tell if you are being SCAMMED or not. When you sign the new revised estimate look at the bottom of the form and see if the box that has in person/prior to loading checked. This is how they cover their butts. This is checked by the person that is in charge of the crew of loaders and he will ask you to put your Initials beside it. THIS KEEPS YOU FROM BEING ABLE TO TAKE ANY LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE COMPANY. IF THIS COMPANY OR ANY OTHER DOES THIS TO YOU BE SURE TO CHECK THE BOX THAT HAS OTHER AND WRITE THAT THE ESTIMATE WAS DONE AFTER THE FACT (AFTER YOUR BELONGINGS WERE LOADED) onto the truck, ON THE FORM. Also put your initials beside the information you write down.. Cover your ASS! Also be wise to have renters insurance on all your stuff. Moving can be very distressing and, ALL I KNEW AT THE TIME WAS THAT THESE PEOPLE HAD ALL MY BELONGINGS ON THEIR TRUCK AND COULD DRIVE OFF. And hold my belongings WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OF WHERE my belongings would be located at for God knows how long.. Which is what they did for one whole month. 3. ALSO I DID NOT KNOW THAT WE COULD NOT PAY BY VISA OVER THE PHONE. WE HAD DONE THE DOWN PAYMENT OF $194.00 OVER THE PHONE.VIA THE EMAIL. With out a 3% surcharge added. AT LEST NOT UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS ON THE TRUCK. At that time, I did call Maya and her reply to me was, you should have read your contract. Which I had taken the time and I did read it. And it states that a credit card could be used as a form of payment. That was when I learned that they wanted a check, cash or money order. Now this presented a LARGE PROBLEM. My husband was not in town. He was already working in the state that we were relocating to. I did not have any checks in my name to be able to write them a check and who may I ask, just walks around with $1567.50 cash on them, A FOOL THAT’S WHO!! I CALLED MY HUSBAND AND HE TOLD ME TO WRITE A CHECK ON HIS ACCOUNT AND SIGN HIS NAME. HE WOULD OK IT WITH THE BANK. And he did this. But, some where in the line of commutation, the check was returned to Infinity. We did not learn of this problem right away. Only when I called to ask the ETA of our belongings on 04/01/09. the date of delivery time frame. Then was when we were informed that we had given them a bad check And the OWNER, CHARLEY OHANNA wanted us to wire or Western Union the cash to him. It was only after we had tried to do as he ask and could not get this done. That he agreed to let us send him another check which included the return check fee of $50.00 He would not do a debit from our bank account. He was being a real A** about the whole situation. So he finally agreed to allow us to fax a copy of a check made out to Infinity Van Lines along with a copy of my husbands Drivers Licenses to them. So this problem was cleared up. 4. Next the big question that was ask of Cliff, was where are our belongings and when can we expect it to be delivered? To which we were told so many lies First it was stuck in GA, city unknown. Next it got stuck in SC. And again what city, unknown, But something about a elevator that was broken and a delivery could not be made! Give me a break! Now, is whenever we called that our phone calls were put through to a recording. Well by now we are both really stressed out big time. We were so worried about our belongings and the condition that it would be in when and if we ever saw them again. And it turns out we had right to worry. It was as if our belongings had fallen into this BIG BLACK HOLE! Yea they sure did INFINITY VAN LINE! When we were able to get an answer to our phone calls and were able to reach a live being..... instead of a recording to leave a message. Another contact person Cliff, He gave us date’s that did not pan out. I don’t know if he was being told this incorrect information or if he was just dishing it out to us to try to keep us from calling for more information regarding our belongings whereabouts. Well anyway none of the dates or the information on where our belongings were located happened to be true. ALL OUR BELONGING WERE STILL IN HOLLYWOOD FL. AND HAD NEVER LEFT. We found this out after Maya got back from her vacation on April 10th. AND ON THAT DAY we were informed by Maya that our belongings were still in Fl. We were also told that the delivery date would not be until after April 20th. Now remember, they picked up our belongings on the date of March 26,2009. So by the time we got our belongings On April 23rd 2009 it has been a total of 30 days that we had to do without our belongings. We have had to sleep on an air bed which can be OK for one or two nights. But sleeping on an air bed is a much harder thing to endure for a month. Now we have finally received our belongings on April 23rd and there is a great deal that is going to have to be repaired from dent, dings and scratches. We have a box missing by my inventory list. They somehow busted our queen headboard of my bedroom set (that came from Mexico) in half. And I called where we bought it in Tampa and was informed that we can not replace it, because the company has now gone out of business. That is a $1000.00 bed. Our ceiling fan shade was busted into a billion pieces. They also knocked the handle off of out file cabinet. And further more they did not bring our stuff to us. Infinity contracted out our delivery to Quick Move who used a TransAmerican Van Lines ( eighteen wheeler) truck. I am filing a claim for the damaged and missing items but we will have to see if that goes anywhere or not. I have my real doubts. THIS COMPANY HAS TAUGHT US A LARGE LESSON. WE WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY AGAIN EVER. Especially NOT...... INFINITY VAN LINE. My solution will be to hire 2 MEN AND A TRUCK to help us load everything onto a Penske rental truck. Then we will drive it to our new location ourselves. Then when we get to our new home, we will have 2 Men and A Truck come out and unload everything for us. This will be much cheaper and I know that I can trust 2 Men and Truck. I have used them for short distance moves before They just don’t do long distance moves And if they do it is way to expensive.$7000.00 But you do get what you pay for. How I wish we had hired them to move us. Big mistake on my part! So that is my solution for not having to go through this HELL ever again. I do attest that all this information I have stated is very true. I have no reason to lie. Just want to warn others of what to expect if they get tangled up with INFINITY VAN LINES So before you use this company remember you are putting all your belongings into the hands of a company that is totally not reliable, and is very untrustworthy and are very good cons artist, that will scam you for more money then the agreed upon quote. They did it to us. Email me if you have any questions at all ellisvk01@Yahoo.com. I also have pictures of the damaged things on my Face Book page where you can look at the pictures. Or email me and I will send them to you. My biggest regret is ever hiring this Moving Company in the first place. Please be wise and don’t feel the same regret I do. Vicki Ellis
