My husband and I were looking to make a change and for a few years have been entertaining thoughts of moving to the west. It was a big change for us, as we have made Hartfield our home for the past three decades, and have developed had strong ties to the community over the years. We have finally decided on the move last summer, during a trip we made to Washington, where we fell in love with a beautiful old house, and could see ourselves living there very happily.
We've heard of Interstate Movers in the past, our next door had used them when he moved into the neighborhood, about five years ago. We liked their quote and the fact the estimate they gave us was transparent. On paper our move was big and complicated, in reality our experience was very pleasant. I preferred to let them take care of all the delicates, framed art, and large furniture pieces (of which there were plenty!) on the day of move, so my husband and I could take our time packing our personal belongings in the weeks that led to the move. I was surprised by how quickly they were able to do it! In just a few hours our entire house was loaded onto the truck.
I'm certain the professional packing was worth it. I was present when they brought everything into the new house s in our new house, two weeks later, and found the items where just in the condition they had entered the truck in the first place. If everything goes according to plan, our furniture won't have to move for at least another three decades!
