I really didn't know what to expect being new to using professional movers before, so when the crew showed up I was a little skeptical. They took a look at our stack of boxes and furniture and each of the three took a box. This really made me wonder. We were paying by the hour after all. But apparently CARLOS, JOEL and ADRIAN were just warming up. They came back up with dollies and made quick work of our boxed up items. Then they set to work on our platform bed. They disassembled it (and later at the new place, they reassembled it) and wrapped the heck out of it to avoid damage. My husband and I hung out in the kitchen just trying to stay the heck out of their way. And 2 hours later, everything in our one bedroom apartment was on the truck. Two and a half hours later it was all in our new place. If we'd wanted they would have put the furniture exactly where we wanted it (unfortunately, we hadn't decided).
The crew was very polite. We had brought a cooler with water and soda and water for them . They accidentally dropped one box (of DVDs) and even after i made sure it was fine, they had me look in the box to verify nothing was broken (nothing was).
One tip, that we lucked into, get your own tape. We had bought a ton of packing tape. And had a ton left when the movers came. The lead of the crew said they could use our tape and save us some money. And looking at the tape they brought and the cost, I was thankful we had tape they could use.
i've mostly unpacked and haven't found anything missing or broken. I would totally use them again.
