Horrible Experience

I hired LV Moving when I relocated from Arizona to California in May of 2014. The salesman was great and went out of his way to make me happy....until after they picked up my goods. After that he would not return any phone calls nor help in any way. He had originally given me a phone number and told me to text him with any issues throughout the entire move, however he later recanted that stating he was only my contact until the day of the move and couldn't help any more. The move started with only two guys sent to pack my entire home. They had to hire a few local guys with no moving experience to help them. They started out with great care packing my belongings but as the day went on they got sloppier and sloppier. They packed a porcelain doll in a box only 1/4 full with no packing material at all and of course it was smashed upon arrival to my new home. They packed items that I repeatedly told them were staying and should not be packed. I paid for an exclusive truck which I did not receive on either the pick up nor the delivery. (After disputing this charge with my credit card company and several conversations with LV Moving they did refund this charge). Upon delivery of my goods numerous furniture items were damaged and some things were missing. I had a wood Captains Bed that was less than a year old that they pried apart when packing it and broke the wood in several places. The mover took photos and pieced it back together but when I filed a claim they said since I had no photos of my own they would not pay anything on the claim. They estimated a 300 pound two piece dresser at 90 pounds even though the photos substantiate the higher weight. Items that I listed as missing they refused to pay saying that I didn't tell them at the time of delivery. Well, how did I know until I finished unpacking all of the boxes? And they sure didn't stay to watch me unpack. They ended up only offering $173 of an over $900 claim. They also required as part of the settlement that I remove any negative reviews I wrote on their company. Well, $173 was not worth removing my bad reviews! If you do not see many bad reviews on LV Moving it is because the other people accepted the claim amount and removed them. I was also sent an email from the salesman threatening to sue me unless I removed my negative reviews. Yes, I still have that email as proof. I removed his name but not the review. Good luck with your move!
