I hired Low Cost Moving to make a move from Ca to TX. It was an absolute nightmare I hope NO ONE ELSE ever has to go thru. It started from my quote of $1925 that increased to $5100.00 if I wanted our stuff moved. The items were not suppose to be delivered until our family members apt was ready on 8/17. I recd a call on 8/9 that they were going to be delivering it on 8/12. Michelle at Low Cost tried to tell me that maybe I could just talk to the apts and see if we could move our family member in early (not an option..it was not available until 8/17) and that maybe I knew some one with a garage to store everything in?? Seriously?? I paid $5100.00 for thiem to move her into her apt & set up beds/furniture that they took apart. After arguing and raising hell all they would do is pay for a storage for the week until the apt was ready and only gave me $150.00 credit for new movers to move her in. I asked them where that amount came from and they said well we figure a Uhaul is $39.95/hr plus gas and then 2-3 guys to move her at 10-12/hr. First of all any PROFESSIONAL business would have called & found the storage & movers and paid them in advance to fix their screw up...2nd of all I can't just hire "men" and have them drive a Uhaul that I rented in my name..obviously any moving co. will have their own truck and hourly rates. The cheapest I could find was $350.00...after calling Michele back and explaining the $150.00 was not enough after I spent all weekend trying to find movers in short notice they would do nothing more than say they would honor a $100.00 off coupon from the website that I was already told they would honor before all of this mess. Absolute WORST customer Service and stress I have ever been thorugh...and I had to take off work to meet movers at storage so I lost 4 hrs that I did not get paid for..more $$ I was out..and I still have yet to get my emailed receipt from Michelle or a call back from the owner/supervisor above he and it's been 10 days now. ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING CO! And to top it all off...we found several items were damaged & broke from their movers (we opened the boxes at the storage before we had to have the 2nd movers move them) so ithey were broke/damaged during the move & during their movers tossing everything into the storage we had to get. When I asked Michelle if she felt like I was honestly being treated fairly and if I was a family member or friend of hers would she feel this whole ordeal was fair she couldnt even answer...she just kept saying "well looking at the numbers" These people have no care or concern for their customers!!!
