This whole industry sucks, may as well use these jerks

Let me start by saying I've moved cross country twice and both times the companies sucked. I think they all suck. Unless you can pay top dollar to a quality company Allied or Wheaton (which we wanted to do) and you're not a complete doofus who doesn't try to book movers until a week in advance (like I am) you're going to be dealing with these shady fucking assholes who broker the jobs to local movers and couldn't care less about getting your stuff to you safely. That said, my stuff got here. So I gave them two stars, although I wouldn't say I've experienced better because they all suck. My shit wasn't lost or broken and it arrived within the delivery range so they basically just met my low expectations. Our estimate was much lower than the actual, but that didn't actually bother me because how do I know how many cubic feet my crap consumes? I am sure I estimated incorrectly. What DID chap my ass though was that they tacked on a whole bunch of extra charges that were really annoying (elevator fee? Really? Fuck you.) and since you have to pay cash that just meant the actual movers, the guys doing the sweaty labor, didn't get tipped. We ran. Out. Of. Money. Sorry dudes, you could have looked the other way at your bullshit "elevator charge" and then that $150 would have been in your pockets. So do I recommend them? No, I recommend you pay more money and go with a nationally known company line Allied or Wheaton or United Van Lines. That said, if you're going with a broker, they're as bad/good as all the rest. They all suck, as I said, so one shit show can't be that much worse than the rest. And as I said I did get my stuff. I highly recommend saving up and planning in advance to be able to use a reputable company and not have to deal with this sketchy broker industry. I think it's hilarious that they have their staff write obviously fake reviews on moverreviews.com to keep them on the top of the list. I mean it worked for me I guess but that was more a function of my procrastination than my gullibility. OH I can't believe I almost forgot the best part. They have some teenage girl working their phones, supposedly in a customer service role. Not only is she incapable of answering a single question or providing any useful information, she has no social or professional skills and is one of the most unpleasant people I've ever dealt with. I'd call back to try to find out her name but I never want to speak to these people again. The end.
