Deceptive and Dishonorable Business Practice

This has been the worst experience ever, with any company, on every facet. I would never use nor recommend using this company to any reasonable human being. Their business model is unethical and they did not deliver me a friendly and unimpeded experience. Save your money, and headaches, and go with a more prominent and refined moving company. Mainline Transportation’s customer service department contacted me and informed me that they had moved my pickup date to 2-3 days after the original quoted date they had promised. They then called the day of the original pickup date to inform me that they would be there that morning. However, I had to reschedule my work and personal life around the newly quoted date. Unable to be there for the original pickup I told them that I needed them to be there the second quoted date as promised to me since I had rescheduled everything for the new date. The day before Mainline Transportation was supposed to arrive their customer service called again and changed the arrival time from 10-2pm to 7-9pm. Then, they called the same day to change the arrival time from 7-9pm to 5-7pm. The morning of the Newest pickup date the movers called around 12pm and told me they would be there in an hour to pick up my items. That's 4-6 hours before the last promised time. When the movers showed up at 1pm their lead mover, without surveying the approximate boxes or items, immediately informed me that the move was going to cost me more than originally quoted. I was told by my sales representative that because of the hassle and miscommunication they were going to promise that I would not be charged for any additional square footage and that they would guarantee all glass table tops and pictures to be wrapped without a charge. After I told the mover that I was told there would not be any additional charges he informed me that, he was telling me now that there would be. I was unable to get in contact with the sales representative, since it was his day off, so he could inform the movers that he had promised me these new incentives for all the hassle. Therefore, I had to contact the main customer service line for Mainline Transportation and describe the situation that arose. After talking with them they were unable to contact the original sales representative and could not guarantee the empty promises. The lead mover was rude and kept pushing us to sign the contract for a quote that ended up being $700 more than the original. That was JUST for the additional square footage not to mention they were still going to charge extra to wrap up the glass and picture frames. After numerous times trying to explain to the lead mover that I was promised something different than what he suggested he began to become increasingly irritated. At one point he informed my mother that she should not talk to him with an attitude and that he was not stupid. Unable to resolve the botched moving experience the lead mover bluntly and rudely said for us to just find another company to move us and began to walk out of my apartment. By this point I thought this was best. However, before he completely left my apartment he turned around to try one last time for me to sign the new contract. I told him to leave.
