Manchester=Disappointing

I believed that my move from California to Ohio, with Manchester was going to be a smooth one-boy, was I wrong!!! The initial meeting with Mike was great, and the initial interaction with Patrick, in sales, was great, too. But then came moving day! The movers were supposed to show up at 8-9am on 7/29/13-they didn't show up until 11:45am-no apology, no excuse, nothing. Called Patrick to complain-he said he was sorry and that he will send me something nice on the other end-never happened! The movers loaded my things in a "temporary" Penske truck, which will then be moved in to another truck that will travel to Ohio-ummmm...not liking that idea! Kind of worried about my stuff getting lost, damaged, stolen, etc.. I'm trusting the Manchester has everything under control. I get a call that the movers will be at my house at 8am on Monday 8/5/15-they didn't show until 8:45am! They worked until about 12pm. They used the dolly to move the boxes either in the house or in the garage. They were supposed to reassemble my bed but they couldn't locate the hardware. They were supposed to reassemble my dining room table, my shelving units, etc., but they didn't. After they left and I had time to look at everything, I realized that they hadn't even looked at any of the boxes (which had all been clearly marked where they should go, what was in them and whether or not they were FRAGILE!!!), so they basically just piled them on top of each other, on the dolly and put them wherever they wanted to. There were boxes everywhere. Heavy boxes in the garage that should have been in the house! I had to hire someone to help move the boxes to where they belonged. They also lost the hardware to my entertainment center. They also "lost" 2 very important ladders-an 8' ladder and a larger extension ladder! Both were very important to me because I brought them to paint my house in Ohio, which desperately needs to be painted!! I don't have the money to replace them!!! The movers broke the railing from my front porch, and they totally disregarded the "FRAGILE" note on all of the boxes because so many of my items were broken!!!! I have called and emailed to complain, Shannon, the manager, has offered to send me a check for $100 to cover the cost of having to hire someone to help me move the boxes!!! To me, that's more of an insult!! I have just complained to the Better Business Bureau and I'm hoping to get more results. I will never use this company again and certainly never recommend them to anyone! They are a disgrace!!!
