I contracted with master movers to move family heirlooms I had in storage from Indiana to california.
They quoted me a price of 1100.00 and they would give me a 100.00 discount. There were specifice instructions for them to crate an encased in glass ship before they move it and to pack up the rest. Mind you this all was in storage so the majority had already been boxed in this 8x10.
Once they picked up my stuff they called a week later to tell me that they wanted more money that our weight of 1500 lbs had been exceeded. they then tell us that we need to pay them an additional 1215.00 we were stuck and felt forced to agree to get our stuff.
Once our stuff arrived the driver came into our home stated that we had to sign the paper work and give him the 1215.00 in cash before he would unlock the truck or unload it.
I signed his papers and gave him cash. When they unloaded the truck nothing was crated they broke the ships case and the ship. They filled the glass case with other possessions of mine with the ship causing the ship to break and the glass to shatter on 3 sides. they broke the legs off the case. This ship was a family heirloom that could not be replaced!
They broke in half a ming/qing dynasty antique chair, they broke my curio cabinet and the base of it. they broke my oriental secretary desk.
Ever single Item I paid them to move professionally they destroyed besides robbing me of my money and holding my items as ransom.
Dont ever contract with this company they will rip you off destroy your stuff not follow the law they are not professional movers but thieves.
