I had a horrendous experience with Matrix Movers. They were incompetent at essentially every step of the moving process. The final cost of the move was almost $2000 more than what they quoted me XXXtons of hidden fees, they vastly underquote how much cubic space you will require even if you provide a detailed inventory list, and then DOUBLE the price of each extra cubic foot you use over the quoted allotment at pick-up; there was no communication or follow-up from the company; my items arrived WEEKS after the date they promised they would; they had not even provided the delivery address to the company that was moving my goods from the origin state until I contacted them several days after the expected delivery date to ask where my stuff was. It was still 3000 miles away at the origin state, almost 3 months after it was picked up.
In an initial email Matrix Movers bragged about their "A" rating on the Better Business Bureau. In actuality, Matrix is the same company as "Classic Moving Services" XXXthey rebranded the company XXXand Classic has an "F" rating with BBB. Matrix now has an "alert" with BBB. Additionally, Classic was issued an Out-of-Service Order on July 6, 2015 by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration because they have not had a required safety audit -XXXthey are not even allowed to operate.
According to the Better Business Bureau: "BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning delays in completion of moves, difficulty in obtaining assistance from customer service representatives, failure to issue or respond to refund requests, allegations that multiple fees were added during the moving process, and that final charges were significantly higher than initial quotes or estimates.
The company's website states, "...we strongly believe in being up-front with all of our charges, so you can be sure there are no surprises or hidden fees behind your order" and "..you will always be provided with a 'Guaranteed Not to Exceed' price."
BBB contacted this firm in June 2015 concerning these issues but did not receive a reply.
The hundreds of 5 Start two line reviews on this website are probably fake.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HOURS OF FRUSTRATION AND MOVE WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY.
