Good and Bad

The good first: Movers picked up my stuff on time. They were efficient and skilled at moving my stuff out of VA. A different set of movers delivered my stuff in TN undamaged and were very polite and professional. The TN delivery movers were FABULOUS. The bad (maybe the very bad): 1. I was given what I call a lowball initial price that prompted me to choose this mover even though their Better Business Bureau license has been REVOKED. Then, the movers come to pick up my furniture in VA and the price skyrockets upwards by hundreds (HUNDREDS) of dollars. Customer service should tell us we need to factor in HUNDREDS of dollars for very specific company packing products that I doubt any one would just happen to own. 2. The pick up crew in VA stated that I needed to give them a 10% tip (of the over $1,000 total price). That was very unprofessional. I told the customer service, and she couldn't have cared less. 3. The pick up crew in VA also tried to get me to pay more for the cubic feet of my stuff, which was WRONG based upon my pre-arranged contract, and they finally relented on that point (but that's apalling that they tried to wrongfully jack up the price even more). 4. The customer service said my stuff would arrive on a certain day in TN, no problem. That was completely inaccurate (by several days). SUMMARY: Do not use this company when you can use other companies that deliver the same quality or better moving service and LIGHT YEARS better customer service. This company gave me VERY inaccurate, false information to get me to use their services, and once they got me, headquarters cared very little about the customer service they gave me. The supervisor actually acted like she didn't care when I told her I would write a negative review about them. Too bad, because their TN moving employees are fabulous, and even their VA movers have got impressive skills. But it's just not worth the hassle and stress of dealing with customer service at headquarters (go with someone who's more truthful, up-front, and just plain nicer). The moral: No better business bureau license = no good customer service.
