I wish I would have read these reviews before choosing this company. I will never make that mistake again...not reading reviews and using Nationwide Relocation. My initial estimate was high, but I knew it was an estimate, so I let it slide. Nationwide hired EJR Transportation out of Miami (you as the customer have NO idea of who may show up to your house and be around your family and move your belongings) as they are contracted without your approval. After showing up at 3:30pm, I was informed that "just by looking" at my belongings the estimate was too low, "but I could pay cash to them and save some money". NOTHING had been loaded yet! I knew the estimate was high, so i let it slide. As the customer I paid for FULL service, yet I had to breakdown the beds and office table as "we are not allowed to do that". With the loading done, off they went. They showed up at my new house at 2:30AM to unload because they had another job the next day and " didn't want to miss out on it". I was informed that enroute the door of the truck flew open and my queen size mattress fell out and was hit by an 18 wheeler, but that it would be replaced. My lawyer feels they stole the mattress as there was NO damaged mattress, NO police report to prove any of this. As they unloaded the truck, the movers were smoking inside the trailer, blowing smoke onto my couch, chairs, etc. I was then told that the actual weigh of my belongings were 1000 lbs UNDER estimate and i would receive a refund. As for replacing the mattress, their customer service said they would pay me $96 for replacement. At this point I am still awaiting payment for both the refund on weight and any monies for replacing the "damaged" mattress. I've contacted Nationwide throughout this nightmare and was informed they can't do anything about it because "they didn't hire EJR Transportation" out of Miami, "you did". TO ANYONE THINKING OF HIRING EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES: BEWARE!! I think its a SCAM to cheat you out of money where they can and possibly steal your belongings if they can.
