They promised the move will be easy and they will take the stress out of me. Actually, they PUT the stress on me!!!! NEVER trust everything they said because it's a big lie and all they want is your money!! Be aware that if they say the bad reviews are just 1% of their customers. I don't believe it right now. I think there's only 1 % that is satisfying. I just have our first baby in July and was going to move from OR to TX in August. The reason why I choose this company is that I couldn't find (or didn't do my research) other long distance movers that will move things for us cause we cann't move heavy things. The original estimate is $2262 for 3000 lbs. Joe Petitt kept promising me that it won't be move this estimate, which is a lie. The driver picked up our things on the two day pick up window, which is ok. But the nightmare began here. They said our things is 4120 lbs. and there'll be an extra charge ($500 more). But actually, before they picked up our things, they just put on gas on their truck for 50 gallons. That'll put weight on our things, but they never mentioned that. When I requested a reweight, they gave me a weight station that is 50 miles away from Austin, which is unreasonable. I don't believe that there's no weight station near Austin. I think that's Nationwide trying to cover the moving company's ass. Well, but this is not the headache, the headache is that they NEVER tell me when they are going to come. I called them several times and it is magic that Joe Petitt was disappear and he is now a manager! What a coincidence! He promised to watch the whole process, again, a lie. The mover in Oregon take my things on 8/21 and put them in the warehouse, for a WHOLE MONTH! The estimate deliver date is 9/9 but it is just a number to them. My new born baby, my husband and I were sleeping on the floor for the whole month. It's really bad for the health for both my baby and I. I called many times to Nationwide but they did nothing just to contact the mover, by the way, the mover is Mark Mornings, a big liar too. He never said when the driver will come, and never kept his words. He told me that the driver will deliver over the weekend, but they never show up. He did that for two, three times. I was furious!! I am the person that is not easy to get angry, but I was really MAD and angry at him. His driver also charged me $100 for wrapping my mattress, springbox and stereo system, but they never did!! Another big lie here. When he finally sure his driver will come, it was not a good time for me because I have to go to classes and my husband is out for a business trip. He even threaten me that if I was unable to be home, the driver will just leave my things to a warehouse and I have to pay the fee and hire someone to move them. Well, first of all, I was waiting the whole month for the driver and he never comes. I gave him the time I am available but he said he cannot guarantee. What kind of company is that? What kind of service is that? When on 9/25, the driver finally came, their truck (18 wheeler) cannot get close to our apartment. They asked another $300 to rent a smaller truck, my things were move I think more than five times from truck to truck. Again, Joe said it easy that it is impossible for a 18 wheeler to enter the apartment complex. He seldom sees this happen. Actually it is ALWAYS happening!! A 18 wheeler is a huge truck that can't fit any apartment complex. My things are mostly damaged. They promise to wrap tables but they didn't. All my plastic boxes are broken, two are broken to pieces!! They are really unprofessional, cannot keep their words and promises, very impolite and inconsiderate. I feel sorry for them because in their mind there's only money, they have no idea what a good service is. Please don't use their service, because it'll not be a pleasant experience. Please don't make the same mistake as I did.
