I wish I would have had time to read these reviews. Unfortunately, my father was ill and I needed to move quickly. Nationwide quoted me a reasonable price and I left my things with colleagues for pick up. They arrived a day late, started adding fees that Robert originally told me were included in the over all cost, and took hours to load a small one bedroom apartment that was fully packed. The customer service was unable to tell me where my items were or when they would arrive. They stated that the moving company would call them and settle on a price then they would call me. This never happened. The movers called me on Sunday and said we are here what is your address. My father passed away two hours before they called and I told them a drop off was inconceivable-they were irritated by this. They brought my things the next day and demanded $400 extra to give me my items. I was on the phone with Nationwide for 3 hours being told that I didn't owe them the money. They then called back and said I did. My items would not be released without. The driver yelled at me for 'not having taken care of this before I got here', a though that was my job. Then the driver began cursing at my family members that were present and trying to help me with my move. Several of my items were broken, my couch was torn, my couch pillows are gone (rendering it useless). Customer service has not called me back regarding the claim I filed for my broken items or the horrible service ( I moved over a month ago). I called them yesterday and they said they would call me and email me regarding my claim-nothing yet. I am extremely disappointed in this company. Not only was their service poor but I am astounded at their insensitivity to one of the most difficult times in a person's life (losing a parent). I have lost a great deal of money due to their lies, inconsistency, and lack of knowledge in their customer service department. I cannot express how horrible they are - PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM.
