I would NEVER use NEIGHBORS MOVING AND STORAGE-local OR cross country again!!!!!!!!! It was an awful experience and a very expensive one as well. Ray was dishonest from the start. Ya know that "sales person type" well he's just that type! ugh! Don't believe what he tells you and if you do add another $1,000.00 to the bid! I feel that I explained everything that I was moving and they (Ray and Arthur and their 75 years of business) couldn't get it right. Ray sold me when he said that NEIGHBORS MOVING AND STORAGE had been in business for 75 years....DON'T BUY IT!!!! They are NOT honest and don't know what they are talking about it. They quote you low so you will go with them. Check BBB and BEWARE!!! And be sure to read and reread the contract and fine print! NEVER EVER USE NEIGHBORS! I hope I can save someone a lot of headaches....my gut told me not to use them but RAY from Neighbors said "oh we've been in business for 75 years and we own our own trucks"....then my move was sent to an outside carrier...which he did not inform me of....then COMPLETELY underestimated the weight of my goods! I explained EVERYTHING that I had....Arthur from Neighbors was a bit more helpful but he even couldn't get it right....75 years and they still can't get it right and they charged me for packing supplies that I DIDN'T use and knew I wouldn't but they wouldn't remove it from the estimate....USE ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY. They NEVER returned phone calls when there were important issues or emails!!!!!! I sent professional emails....not so nice emails...and NOTHING!!!! They UNDERESTIMATED my weight by 1,531lbs!! But, they have been in business for 75 years...terrible experience! The underestimated weight translates to a lot more money!!!! Are they in cahoots with the transporting company they used??? Customer service was deplorable! Their BBB rating is an F!!!! Wish I listened to my gut! Hope someone will be saved aggravation!!! Another idea might be to take the contract to an attorney....this company is not trustworthy at all.
