New Planet Movers Major Rip Off!

They quoted a price of $3500, then held our furniture hostage for a week until we paid $5000. Damages to our personal property exceeds $9500 (so far), we are still going thru boxes and trying to find the furniture they piled 8 feet high all in one room. They promise to give a refund if your stuff weighs less than the estimate; ours weighed 1000 pounds less, then they charged us $1500 more! They didn't have room on their wet, leaky truck to even take all the stuff on the contract, then DARED charge us more. What a bunch of low-life scum! They left the furniture they said they didn't have room for in the rain and the stuff on the truck they moved arrived wet and ruined. We lost 2/3 of our furniture and personal property to water damage and breakage. Our contract was for 120 items, they left 10 behind, but still tried to screw us by saying we had 140 items! They disassembled all the tables, end tables, beds, several chairs, and other items, then gave the disassembled pieces separate numbers so they could say we had more then the estimate, so they could sucker us into paying that additive weight charge of 75 cents a pound! LIARS! THIEVES! We caught them doing this and stopped it right away. When that failed, they tried to sucker us into paying more by saying they used lots of their boxes to crate our furniture--(crate, my ass), they tore boxes in half and taped them to our furniture--but we caught them stealing our boxes and using them, so we stopped that! Then they ttied to rip us off again by saying we had a lot of bulky items, but the contract said we had NO BULKY ITEMS! This is where we lost the battle. They didn;t tell us until days later, when they had our furnityure locked up in their warehouse that we would have to pay $1500 more for this scam. Then thry tried again to say our house was too far from the street, so it would cost us another $3000 to have it hand carried from the truck up the mile-long driveway. WE DID STOP THAT! We called the sheriff and he made them deliver to the door. They say they have a great Better Business Bureau rating and they advertise this on their website. LIARS! Their rating is c minus and dropping fast. They are being investigated by several firms and (we read) that everyone is suing them. These people are rip off con artists owned by a middle eastern snake who barely speaks English. He threatened to dump our stuff on the highway if we refused to pay AND they stole several furniture items from us (in addition to the boxes). They are so dishonest, they don't even use their real names! So, don't believe those fake good reviews that their employees are writing and seem to show up 3-4 at a time immediately AFTER every bad review. If you use these crooks, you will get screwed, just like the other thousands of honest people out there writing reviews about their horrible, miserable experience with these jerks. Beware of their fraud and report them!
