I felt a little guilty hiring Ori van lines. I mean what happened to the days of bribing your poor friends and family with pizza and beer?
So, I started my move day with guilt wearing heavy on my soul... and then, before I knew it, a mere three hours after I answered the door (at 8:30am prompt) I was sitting in a spa chair getting a mani/pedi and I realized, damn, if all it takes is a little bit of money, a little bit of guilt, and within three hours I would be *completely* moved out of one place and into the new place and getting a pedicure XXXthis is the life.
Fuck the pizza and beer. This was the smoothest, most pleasant (and entertaining) move I have ever had. By far.
For the detail:
First, I've hired movers once before, for a cross-country move. With THAT company I had all sorts of "extra" fees because I didn't properly estimate how much crap I had. Not so at Ori. Pay by the hour, and they were ridiculously efficient. Surprising actually XXXpaid by the hour folks should be slow, right? Not Ori van lines! The three guys moved so fast it was like a race. (A race that was still gentle with my precious stuff)

As for communication, Ori was one of the places that answered the phone both times I called. Oh, and they replied to emails too. (Promptly)
I called about 10 days in advance to book a move. They bring wardrobe boxes XXXso all your hanging stuff is super easy to move.

The crew themselves were fantastic. Nice, on time, funny, considerate, and a wicked sense of humor. (all three!) The kinda guys I could totally see myself drinking beers with! Which makes it sorta like bribing your friends with pizza and beer, right? So no guilt!
