Everyone can probably agree that moving s@#@! It's stressful, time consuming, and costly. Having good movers is a key to a successful move, and these guys know just how to do it.
I called mid-week and scheduled an appointment for the following weekend. The man on the phone was very helpful, answered all my questions, and gave me a solid time/cost estimate for a move .upon arrival, three fellas came in, young and friendly, who quickly introduced themselves
the move commences. As I helped here and there, I observed some of their moving techniques particularly with large items, and I must admit. I definitely learned a few tricks. You can tell these guys were good and very experienced. My confidence in them was steadily rising by the minute, and all my worries about items being transported safely were quickly diminishing. What a stress reliever it was. They took great care of all my fragile items, particularly the TV. Their truck was extremely well equipped to provide the quickest and safest move possible. I peeked inside, and they had special compartments for just about everything. Let's also not forget how absolutely amazing their free wardrobe boxes were. If you've never used one before, then you're in for a real treat.
So what makes these guys 5-star worthy? My couch is larger than most, which have been both a blessing and a curse. They tried their best to bring it in, but it just wasn't going to happen. What then? These guys are hardcore and decide to hoist the couch through my living room window. That's right. While they were measuring dimensions and prepping for the madness, my apt manager comes out and notices what they're about to do. I'm ready and waiting to hear him bicker and flip out, but instead he responds with a 'do you guys want a ladder?? They proceed with the hoisting. Within 10 minutes, my couch is happily sitting in my living room, and I'm left with a huge smile on my face.
Overall, the move took ~3hrs even while hoisting a huge couch through the living room window on the 2nd floor. It left me extremely satisfied, happy, impressed, and grateful to have chosen ORI VAN LINES as my movers.
