DONT USE THEM! PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS AND SEE LINKS AT BOTTOM I, went movingreviews.com to rely on reviews to find a mover to relocate us from Florida to Atlanta. I am fully convinced they have people fill out reviews to make them look good. They are beyond unprofessional and rude. It all started with Ashley, very nice bubbly sales girl. Assures me the quote is binding and explains why other companies charge more. She makes sense. We do an over the phone estimate, adding more than there was, so we can allow for more cubic square feet than needed. I wanted to be extra safe. The quote was $3700.00, including dishes packed. This quote seemed reasonable as I had received other quotes from movers who came to my house and they were in the same ballpark. Progressive claims to have guaranteed lowest prices. Day of the move.... A unmarked yellow truck shows up with 4 men not in any type of uniform. The lead guy is Avi. Shawn, one of the movers gets out cursing. I smile and greet them, Im going to make the best of this. They have already cashed my $1100.00 deposit. I cant send them away because they already have a nice deposit. I show them all they have to move. nothing is said and they get to work. the three men who were moving did a good job and were plesant. Avi, didnt pay attention the entire move. Would leave my house and walk around the lake, would stand on my porch and yell in his native language. He was very intimidating towards me. At one point Shawn says "Smell that?" Referring to Avi smoking marijuana. Also proceeds to tell me they were late because they were pulled over by the DOT. At the end of the move Avi tells us we used more space and comes up with a number and that it is now going to be $5800.00. How he came up with this number I dont know. On the contract it clearly states that they will tell you PRIOR to loading if it will be more. This did not happen. But you have to agree to pay the extra in cash, because they now have all your stuff, hostage. Avi has my husband sign the contract, even though my husbands name is nowhere on the contract. Id like to add the truck was not packed effeciently. They had my grill longways down the truck and king matress diagonal so it would take up more space. We say fine we will pay with credit card. Its friday night and I have a guaranteed delivery of Monday (I had reserved the freight elevator). They tell me there will be 7% credit card fee. So another $210. My husband and I are beyond stressed and just want our stuff to arrive in Atlanta, in one piece. They then call us and tell us their merchant is down and wont be up until Wednesday so they cant process the card until then, and wont deliver our stuff until then. We ask to talk to a manager. This is not fair. Our quote just went up $2000. Its Friday evening and I need to have $3800 cash by Monday afternoon to get my stuff as promised. It is not our fault their merchant is down. Daniel, the "General Manager," gets on the phone and is incredibly short and rude. My husband asks him to return our stuff. He says fine "We'll return it Tuesday or Wednesday" and hangs up. He refuses to talk to us. We never raised our voice, or were rude towards them in anyway, thought they treated us like we were. We talked with Cierra and were told to write an email saying we would pay the remaining $2100 in cash (this number would change) on Monday and they would deliver our stuff. Monday I get a call from the driver that we owe $3800 then an email from Cierra saying she didnt get the adjusted agreement and it was $3800.00. Action and Vovo (Action's brother in law) arrive and did a fantastic job unloading. Action saw I was very anxious and was concerned for me. I was taking photos, video... I explained what had happened in Florida and I just wanted my stuff. Action concurred that Avi is arrogant and not nice, for lack of a better word. I tipped them $200 and thanked them. We remeasured the space on the truck, and now that it was packed efficiently was 1000 cubic feet, which is less then Avi said it was and was closer to what I was quoted by Ashley. Half my boxes were wet and damaged. Dishes that they "professionally" packed were not all wrapped inside boxes and were broken. I have included pictures, I have a lot more but could only upload 2. The headboard that was written on my inventory list never showed up. The number of boxes that AVi said I had was less on arrival, yet I recieved all boxes I had. He also counted some showboxes as boxes. I called and talked with Cierra and one other girl (they dont identify themselves), I was told she would look into it and speak with the owner. Also was told I was the second complaint this week against Avi. I have never heard back. I emailed Daniel and he said he would investigate and get back to me. Its been a week and I havent heard back. I have submitted my loss to their claims department but dont expect anything but pennies. I could go on and I would love to help you with your move and share advice I have learned from my mistakes. I will provide you with more pictures and copies of all my contracts,. please email me at dontuseprogressiverelomovers@gmail.com. Also email me is you have had a similar problem. They claim and advertise an A rating with the BBB. This is a lie. http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/business-reviews/moving-and-storage-companies/progressive-relocation-systems-in-pembroke-pines-fl-22003233 Also visit Rip Off Report- There are many claims there too. I am convinced they are paying people or filling out their own reviews on this site. They are horrible
