I was scammed just yesterday by this company. I called a company called "Personal Touch Movers" out of Rockville, MD and then Metro movers showed up. My original quote of $316 became $900 once the men showed up. Once I called the office to cancel the move the VERY rude lady told me that it was $300 to cancel so I was trapped. The bad thing about it is that when I called to schedule the move they sent me over a contract which I read and had issues with. I quickly called back and spoke with a woman named Selena who clarified that ONLY the mattress and glass needed to be covered. She advised me to go to Walmart or Target and buy mattress covers and some bubble wrap so I dont have to pay to use the movers supplies. So when the mover got there he says that ALL the furniture MUST be covered and that I had to pay to USE their mattress covers ($6 each x 25) and tape ($4.50 per roll). Because everything HAD to be covered my 3 hours to move became 6 hours because they CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY wrapped everything and used an ENTIRE roll of tape on every piece of furniture. To add insult to injury these crooks dont even have a truck. They are renting a BUDGET truck. Also be mindful that there is a $20 document fee AND after he comes up with a total cost of your move they charge you 15% of that amount for fuel (mine was $80). Vengence is His and I believe that there is a special place in hell for a company that would do this to people. I will pray for their evil souls. Save yourself the drama and money and always have the company come out and give an estimate after looking at your furniture. I know thats what I will be doing for now on. In case you were wondering all of the other reviews that give this company 5 stars are fake. Who really ALWAYS has a 5 star rating? And many of them are written on the same day...
