Plymouth rock moving should be black listed and should be somehow terminated from their service. These guys are really bring out all your frustration and tolerance level to the end. This company will milk your money stage by stage. I will never ever recommend this particular mover service. Even if you end up paying more, please plan for a better movers rather than Plymouth rock moving. I have booked a long distance move from Naperville, IL to Iselin, NJ. My movement reference number is P5131012. This is what happened First during estimates with the online agent, you will be asked for all the things in your home (furnitures, boxes, wardrobe) which you have and then based on that they will say a quote and you will have all good commitments including door to door service. I spoke to guy named Pierre and he was assuring lot of commitment on pickup and delivery which are just words until pickup happens and pay the first cut[20% of the total amount]. He gave me a estimate of $1350. and I paid $540. Pierre does not have any politeness in handling customer, I dont understand how this company holds this type of person in their organization. Secondly, during pickup, pickup person will tell you that whatever estimates has been provided is wrong and you may have to pay more [even before seeing what you have in your apartment, WTH] and you have to pay additional. He will show the truck and tell you that you have pay per cubic feet. He will make a calculation such as you will end up paying additional amount(for sure and he will tell estimates will vary lot from actual yours is very little. WTH). In my case, he has blown an estimate from $1350 to $1750 [$400 additional]. These guys will take the advantage as you will be in rush to move your things and whatever they ask you have to accept otherwise he will put some conditional clause before loading your goods which you have to agree to proceed further. When you call and ask for the customer service person who booked your estimates, he will say that the pickup guy will explain and its his job to make sure you understand [he will wipe of his hands, you can't expect him to answer anything positive for sure.] Third, when you ask for a delivery you will be asked that whether your house is truck trailer [16 wheeler truck], otherwise additional $300. How many residential location will be truck trailer accessible? Always there will tight street in residential location, so you will definitely end up having additional $300 to $500 for this reason. You will not be asked this question neither during estimates nor during pickup. They will ask the money like you are slot machine. Really I am totally pissed off with the way these guys handled me. In my case, even after agreeing that my house is not truck trailer accessible, delivery guy came up with another truck and he dont want to drive with on the driveway which was steep. He was giving lot of reasons which I dont care as a customer. From customer perspective, I have agreed that my house is not truck trailer accessible, then the story ends their I am paying additional $300. But now its one more turn for additional cost for "long carry". Do you thing you have to pay the amount on top of $300? I asked the same question to delivery guy and he gives me an answer "Thats how my company runs and I am representing my company". When I am asking that I already paid $300 because of truck trailer why dont you get a truck which fit my drive way and I have already given the address to validate and estimates. What is the purpose of giving the address earlier then? Even after that Delivery guy will have a look at your house and he will start counting your stairs and steps and he will add up additional cost [$200]. He will tell if you are keeping him waiting you have to pay $150 additional every hour. He will start calculating the hours until you agree the total additional amount. In my case I end up paying $500 additional during delivery. Finally I ended up paying $2300 and the estimate was $1350 and they lost my LED TV in the move. I am really frustrated because $1000 bump in the estimates. Oh My God! Its my one pay check. I am really started thinking whether its worth moving things for $2300. Over all, atleast you will expect everything to get delivered correctly. No, It did not happen. They missed my $800 worth LED TV. And when I ask this to delivery guy, he is telling me to ask customer service representative and file complaint. When I asked for the calculation he mentions "Thats how our company works and I represent my company". Now he is asking to call the customer service representative, because he already got the money from me. So it does not matter any more for him. They are doing business in very unethical, unprofessional and disoriented. After reading all these, dont you agree that this unethical company should be black listed and terminated from service
