Great Move - very skilled movers

As we prepared for our long distance move from Brooklyn to Austin, Texas... I was nothing short of terrified. Researching movers proved to be not unlike watching horror movies. Except in this case, the horror film's sequel would be starring you. Then, thanks to websites reviews we found President movers Prior to the move,Mike (Haim - Israeli guy )checked in with us after the on-site, often and made adjustments to our inventory and cost as we sold things and changed what we were moving. We were given a move date and were told the movers would arrive between 9-10:00am. A few days before the move, the long distance department called and confirmed our details and gave us a window (June 6th-13th) during which our things would arrive in Austin. The long distance moving truck would call 24-48 hours in advance to give us the specific delivery time. The day of the move it was raining. At 8:30 the movers called and said they'd be arriving closer to 9:30. They arrived at 9:20am. The movers were all very nice and respectful. We were all quite shocked at how well everything was wrapped. Every single item (including the one's we packed) was wrapped in plastic wrap and then taped by the moving crew. Our lamps, electronics, pictures, and TV were packed by the moving crew. All the furniture was wrapped heavily in moving blankets and then in plastic wrap. Each piece was then numbered and added to a physical inventory. There was a slight miscalculation in the initial moving estimate. Our TV was actually 15 cubic feet instead of 10 after packing by the crew and my bed was 65 cubic feet instead of 45. In addition, we ended up having a few more things than were on the quote, so in total we were over by 50 cubic feet (about $350 extra). We spoke with Mike and was happy to find that there was no arguing or battle. We split it down the middle. They ate their extra 25 cu feet and I payed a little more for mine. Thanks to President long distance team and constant communication and updates, we were able to spend our time having fun vs worrying about getting to Austin and waiting. They called us on the 6th and said they would arrive on Thursday the 10th. On the 9th, they called and said they would be at our new apartment on the next day at 11am. The next day they were pulled in at 10:55am and patiently waited while we got our keys and finished paperwork. They were probably the nicest movers I've encountered. Every item that came into the house was checked off of the detailed inventory the original movers created as we packed. Their supervisor called and made sure that we were happy with everything before they took off. In the end, everything made it here exactly as it left Brooklyn. Not one scratch, nick, or dent in anything . This was the best moving experience I could have hoped for and worth every dime
