The move was booked 7 weeks in advance of moving date. The time was scheduled for between 1-3 p.m. on moving day 8/8/11. Trucker called said he was running 4 hours late. Two men finally arrived at 8 p.m. WITH the 5 year old daughter of the truck driver in tow! Very unprofessional to start a move so late in the evening. Of course there were extra charges for some packing materials of the TV & a mirror added on to the total. When I booked the move I was specifically told turnaround time was 1 to 4 days. The move was a Monday and the delivery should have been Friday at the latest. I had not received any calls telling me delivery date/time so on 8/11/11 I called and was told they were "waiting for a truck" and items have not left Chicago yet. Didn't know when a truck would arrive but would call me a few days in advance of delivery probably early next week! 8/15/11-still no communication at all from mover regarding regarding delivery time. I called and a female said she would have her manager call. No one called. I called at 3 p.m & 4:30 p.m. on 8/16/11- left messages with dispatch to return my call. No one did. 8/17/11 I called at 11 a.m. and spoke with Ronnie/Lonnie female service mgr to get some answers. She said once again "waiting for truck-hasn't left Chicago etc.. will call a few days in advance of delivery!" I asked how this happened when move was booked 7 weeks prior. It wasn't some added on last minute move. WELL the next day 8/18/11 at 3 p.m. the truck driver called and he "would be in the area this evening could he deliver, it would be around 9 p.m." We said yes because we were afraid we would never see our belongings if we refused. Of course, 9:00 came and went-no truck. At 10 p.m. we called trucker, he said he wouldn't be here until midnight and would still deliver! We said no way, so it was set for Fri 8/19/11 between 7-8a.m. He did come Friday a.m. Truck pulled up with NO ONE to help him move furniture in except once again he brought his 5 year old daughter!! We had to recruit a family member to help with the move or he would still be parked on our street! Everything that we packed was fine, the furniture that was packed by them was DAMAGED. We paid $20 extra to have a 1 year old Queen size mattress and box spring encased in plastic-which was not done. There are wood splinters all over the sides of both pieces from being pushed along the truck wall, not to mention filthy from a blue blanket that was barely covering anything. 1 year old dresser and nightstand -broken corners and scratches. 1 year old dining table & 4 chairs- 3 table legs scratched/gouged, 1 chair leg badly cracked/scratched. The boxes were so smashed down like accordians. They were jammed on the truck. This was the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I must have checked with 12 moving companies before I booked them....I can't believe I paid all that money to be aggravated and have my 1 year old furniture ruined. It looks like garbage now.
