WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER

I can not understand how anyone can give this company 5 Stars. We moved with a 4-bedroom household from Miami, FL to Connecticut. After in house visit we were given a "binding" quote which was exceeded after packing by $3,000 (!!!)
Upon delivery our goods were hold hostage and we were offered $400 discount if agreeing on the spot but signing a release. I refused to do so, bit the bullet and paid the full price of above $12,000. But that wasn't the worst yet.
We've been moving a lot, locally, long distance and nationwide and even international more than 15 times. We never experienced such poor handling of our goods. The number of damages was even unseen to the experienced and professional NY based moving crew on unloading an unpacking. The entire load had shifted inside the moving truck due to poor packing and stacking. There was water damage, items which were custom packed against extra charge were damaged.
As it turned out later a valuable painting was stolen.
When I complained to the company I was not given the managers name or information. I finally had a Mr. Myers talk to me. He refused to give me owner's name, was rude on the telephone using abusive language and even hanging up on me.
There couldn't possibly be a worse moving company as the Miami based Regions Van Lines. If you do not want to be lied to, over charged and have your household be mishandled then you MUST NOT use Regions Van Lines. It was the worst moving experience ever and the company did not care about our complaints. I filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and they even forged paperwork which they submitted to BBB. It couldn't get any worse.
