They picked up my furniture on time on 11/6/13. They asked me when I need the delivery. I said I need delivery on 11/10/13. They said pick up date is confirmed but delivery date they cannot assure but it could be between 1-21 days. I signed the delivery documents where I indicated that I need the delivery on 11/10/13 or later. I have a new born baby and I started for TX on the next day i.e. 11/7/13 with the understanding that they will deliver my furniture on 11/10/13. After pick up my goods they called me and told thet want to deliver my furniture on Saturday 11/9/13. I said that I have a new born baby and I will take couple of days break on my way to TX and per my signature on the delivery papers, I indicated that I want the delivery on Sunday 11/10/13. They said no and in their term ASAP means customer agrees to accept the delivery the sooner the mover can and if I don't comply with that then they will charge $100/hr delay. I was surprized hearing this. They were so inhuman and made me bound to be there per their schedule. I had very hard time to drive with my baby to reach per their schedule. Though I made it and didn't have to give any penalty. If the delay was from their part then they would not care and nobody can charge them or penalise them. This is the advantage they take from the customer. I have learned a great lesson from them. Customer service while preparing the contract talk all the sweet words and try to establish that they are the number one mover in the country. I am frastrated and shocked with their hidden conditions. I am not going to use SUMMIT VAN LINE for my future move.
