We were moving out of a 4th floor walkup apartment in Hoboken to an elevator building in NYC and called up Starcity. They gave a reasonable flat rate quote with no extras for stairs. While packing I was worried the move would take even longer than expected... You never know how much junk you have until you move!
However, the movers at Starcity were amazing. I was astounded to see them move all my furniture and boxes out as quickly as they did. Not only that, they were extremely friendly and helpful and made moving painless (although my back still hurts from packing, but they can do the packing if you really want them to).
What stood out is how they powered through lunch and got were easily able to make the strict elevator cutoff on the Manhattan side. That was a relief.
These guys are professionals, they treat you with respect, and they move your gear with care. I highly recommend them.
