I hate moving XXXdone this way too many times in the past 10 years, each time the number of boxes grow, the size of the move gets bigger. So you can imagine my immediate dread when I had to move a two bedroom house filled with the things of: 1) Giant sloppy husband, 2) Scattered chaotic tween, 3) Never ending scatter of things for a 28lb toddler and 4) all my personal belongings XXXworth 1000x more than the smatter of junk from the other fore-mentioned three (not to mention my shoes.) I think we almost filled up their truck XXXnot including what we pre-moved before they showed up! Decided to go with StarCity Moving this time and I am glad I did. Steve scheduled our move with a 2-week notice from me and quoted me a flat rate that I thought was fair. The days before the Memorial Day weekend, he called to confirm XXXand let me know what they would bring, along with special wardrobe boxes and other packing tips. On the day of the move - three guys showed up with a pretty large truck. They were all great. Our move was from Summit NJ to Stamford CT...They did a fantastic job. None of our things were broken, scratched or scuffed. Giant mirror and flat panel TV were wrapped and put in specialty boxes free of charge. They were super polite, asked questions, and had a plan all set out for us that day. All our marked boxes ended up in rooms where we set them to go and the guys were so gracious to deal with my indecisiveness (I couldn't make up my mind to decide where things needed to go). This included schlepping up and down stairs! I'd totally use Starcity's moving services again and refer them to anyone who is looking for quick, reliable and professional service. Make sure to tip XXXbecause they deserve it for all their hard work and have cold water and sustenance if they work through it. It's common courtesy :) Thank you!
