Yes, people have all kinds of terrible horror stories about movers, and so I was prepared to feel like I really scored if even half my stuff made it across the country unscathed. I shouldn't have worried! Straight Forward Moving sent three professional packers who, in less than one day, completely packed up my 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment (including about a hundred feet of books on shelves, and a huge number of DVDs and CDs). The next day the movers came and they had everything on the truck in six hours. The truck left, I waved them off, got in my own car and set off at my own pace. This was completely painless and I wonder why I insisted on self-moving all these years.
