Suddath (United Van Lines) mover stole my wife's wedding and engagement rings

We just moved a few months back, and I decided to move our confidential papers and my wife's wedding ring (it didn't fit since she is 5 months pregnant) to make sure that weren't taken. I placed the ring in my safe, and put the safe on the top shelf in my closet. I didn't think the movers would enter that room, so I left the key in the safe to avoid losing it. I placed the ring in the safe the morning of the move. In the morning, the movers were working well and putting everything in the proper place. In the afternoon, they became extremely rushed, and just piled everything (regardless of where it was supposed to go) in our garage, then took off in a hurry. That night I went up to my room and noticed that they did enter our closet to place a dresser in there. The key to my safe was then missing. Upon finding the key that they threw into the pile of boxes in the other room, I opened the safe to find that the rings (wedding and engagement - they were connected) had been stolen. Despite the fact that their movers were the only other people in our house, and the obviousness of their rushed exit, Suddath refused to help us citing that they were not responsible since they didn't move the ring. It seems to be part of their culture to allow their employees to steal from customers, as long as they only steal items that they didn't not move. We had a plice report to back up our claim, but they could care less. I want to warn everyone that these criminals STILL work for them, and are free to steal any of their future customers valuables, as they obviously have a policy of complacency regarding this issue. I absolutely recommend that you try to find a different mover, or move yourself. You could go to any random truck stop and find a group of criminals to help you move, as they obviously do, and you could do it for much cheaper. Unfortunately this was a company move (I hope we change companies, and will do everything I can to support that transition) so I had no choice. Please read all possible reviews and avoid them!!!
