DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY! We read decent reviews of this moving company so we decided to use them for a local move. The initial purchasing experience was okay and the front office was okay to deal with and seemed pretty straightforward. The process was described to me, they had a good rating from the BBB, and it seemed like I had found a decent company... Until the actual movers showed up... Three men showed up over an hour late. One of the men was halfway decent... The other two walked around the house, talking and texting on their cell phones, and did about 10% of the work combined. Realizing that time was money, and these two guys were worthless, my husband started helping out. He was the best mover of all three of the men we hired. They ultimately started demanding extra money to move things, claiming it was not in our package, never gave us "free crating" that was promised, were four hours over the amount of time they said it would take to move--probably three of which were because every time my husband left the house, the movers just sat down and did nothing for the time that he WALKED OUR BOXES DOWN TO THE TRUCK AND CAME BACK. The best of it was when they got to our new home and one of the guys basically threw our dining room chair off of the lift on the truck and shattered it. No apology.. just a shrug. All of our boxes were labeled as were the rooms with numbers to make it easy to put the boxes into the rooms they belong in. My husband had to go to the atm to get more cash (because we were not expecting a bill at almost 900 with the small tip we decided to give them to make they just GO AWAY), and they just started throwing things in the garage, including furniture, that we ultimately had to MOVE OURSELVES THE NEXT DAY. The second we got all of our things at our house, my husband kicked them out of the house without them putting back together our furniture because the time they would have taken to do that would have been another few hundred bucks. BOTTOM LINE: PLEASE DON'T HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY They cost 300 extra dollars than we were quoted.. and I understand that moving can take a little longer than expected, but I can't swallow that for three lazy guys to show up and break stuff with little to no apology. If you ask me, the business you run is all about the people that do the work. This company does not give a crap about your stuff or repeat business. I could kick myself for using them and it makes me sick that we gave them way more money than was worth it.
