I contacted Verizon Van Lines for my move from North Carolina to Alabama. When I talked to Verizon they told me my weight would not be more that 5200 pounds for a 2 bedroom apartment. When the movers got to my apartment they saw my platform bed and had no idea how to take it apart and said they had never seen a platform bed. Finally with a friend there who helped them dismantle the bed after about 3 hours it was loaded on the truck. When they got to the weigh station my furniture weighed much more then they told me. When they got to my apartment in Alabama my bill was $1,000 more than they told me and would be put in storage. I have been so upset and I am so sorry I didn't go with a more reputable company. I hope my grief will help someone else.
